I guess I’ve never been super into New Year’s Eve–mostly because I like to go to bed around 9:30 or 10:00! When I was younger, I used to babysit on NYE, which was even easier to excuse my lameness with my friends. Gotta work, y’all, sorry; go on without me. So this year, it didn’t occur to me until yesterday that there’d be a ball drop at all! Ha.
We made it festive at home with nachos, queso, hot chocolate, margaritas, and an evening of going around the table mentioning the good memories we have of this year–Nintendo, kayaking, camping, etc. It devolved into grievances at one point, but we pulled it back together with a viewing of Arthur Christmas, a really cute movie. Maybe later we’ll watch Noelle; it seems in the same vein. And Jingle Jangle, and then, after yoga on Zoom I’m going to take down the tree.
And that’s a wrap for 2020.
