We are at the beach again. It’s nice to be able to do school/work from somewhere else for a few days. However, it’s windy and the waves are 20 feet high, and we’re all a little shell shocked by the horrors of the world.
Since I wrote our camping trip write up, I also wanted to wrap up summer, but that’s going to be hard because it never really ended except the days got shorter and the kids started a facsimile of “school” and the older boys’ sports resumed in some fashion and I went back to my office and Patrick is teaching again too, and it all just segued over.
We spent the last week of summer at North Myrtle Beach. It was a great beach, flat, great sand, good waves for boogie boarding. It was fun to be with our friend, having another adult around and working on syllabi and making healthy dinners. We went to check out the boardwalk at Myrtle Beach, which was fun, but not as cool as the boardwalk at Wildwood, NJ. We did enjoy seeing the wide variety of mini-golf places.

After the beach, school began. It was a lot of logging in. I haven’t been doing much with the kids’ work, because I’ve been at work, trying to adjust to a hybrid flex system of learning for my students.
