I can’t believe that post was so long ago. Not much has changed except the mostly well baby…was really sick. He had a sinus infection, an ear infection, and pinkeye. And then we dragged him to Denver. Which was ill advised. He went to daycare there, because to be fair, he was doing a lot better. But he wasn’t completely well, and he relapsed and we ended up going back to Denver from the mountains a little early. To top it off, I got really sick. And am still recovering.
If you remember, I was going to take Seamus to Louisville for the conference this weekend, but I decided since he had been so sick, to beg my parents to have my mom come out and take care of him, which she graciously agreed to. So I’ve been in Louisville for a few days with my awesome and smart friend Myrriah. Our papers were well-received by a substantial audience. We rapped with Helena Maria Viramontes and Frederick Luis Aldama. It was rad! And because she’s got more nerve than I do, we got lots of face time with both of them.
We also checked out the Louisville Slugger museum and got some little bats for our efforts there. I slept 11 hours straight last night, and I’m about to cut this short so I can do the same tonight. Got to get well.
